POSITION:       SALES ASSISTANT 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets and assists walk-in/call-in customers with sales opportunities
  • Enters quote/order information into accounting system
  • Directs visitors, vendors, representatives and carriers as appropriate
  • Answers and directs incoming phone calls
  • Processes purchase orders to vendors
  • Coordinates delivery schedules with customers
  • Assists sales and management with order entry, processing, fulfillment and other administrative duties as needed
  • Maintain used product showroom inventory, maintains standard price tagging system
  • Maintains vendor library and ensures catalogs contain current information
  • Updates inventory on company website
  • Performs other general office duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • General working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment including multi-line phone system
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and information to others (written and verbal)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work tasks to meet deadlines and complete projects
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks without detailed instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers; work in a collaborative environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive use of telephone and face to face communication requiring ability to clearly communicate
  • Extensive use of computer/keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalency
  • 1 year customer service, retail or related experience

 


POSITION:        ACCOUNT MANAGER 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect sales opportunities from lead sources, call-in and website inquiries; provide introduction of Carolina Office Xchange
  • Engage and develop relationships with Commercial real estate, A&D firms and other potential lead sourcing areas
  • Develops new client accounts; assess product needs and provide furniture/design proposals
  • Performs order entry, processing and fulfillment tasks
  • Works with vendors to determine product pricing and discounts
  • Assists with scheduling and coordinating delivery, installation and crew for projects
  • Manages project timelines and budget
  • Project reviews for client invoicing
  • Services and maintains existing client accounts
  • Assists with walk-in customers and answering phones as needed
  • Represents Carolina Office Xchange at networking events
  • Performs other sales, project and administrative duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment including multi-line phone system
  • General working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines and complete projects
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers and management
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks without detailed instructions
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to articulate needs and directives
  • Good organization and attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive use of telephone and face to face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
  • Extensive use of computer/keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasional travel as necessary

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-5 years sales experience; industry and design knowledge preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience
